A Message From Enzo:
I hope you’ll find my extensive qualifications
noted here assuring when considering me to carry out the work on your beloved
Honda Minitrail. I’m sure you’ll find I’m more than qualified
to do such work & that my vast & varied experience in the industry will
make you feel at ease.
Please feel free to look around at my official qualifications from Honda.
You will note that the ‘machine shop techniques’ in the Honda booklet
are not stamped. This is not a mistake. When I was 16, I got my first job at
the same Honda dealer where I became certified. The shop is connected to a machine
shop & they have the same owners. My machine shop training was very extensive
& was overseen by some of the most talented and experienced machinists in
the industry. While working at the motorcycle shop, business would slow down
during the harsh northeast winters. During that time, I would work in the same
building, but in the machine shop side. At a very early age, I learned how to
carry out all forms of machining processes connected with motorcycle engines;
Cylinder boring & honing. Valve & valve seat resurfacing, cylinder head
surfacing, crankshaft repair & balancing, transmission gear undercutting
& shift fork repair. Anything you could think of or need to do to a motorcycle
engine, I did for months at a time every winter. This training, coupled with
my official Honda training & 20 years experience has proven invaluable to
me in my position. In addition to my Honda training, I’m a fully certified
BMW motorcycle technician and Ducati Certified motorcycle technician as well.
It may interest you that I’m involved with motorcycles in many other ways
that compliment my technical background.
Over the past 20 years, I have assisted roadrace
outfits with their program utilizing both vintage & modern machinery. Being
involved in vintage racing roadracing is another invaluable asset that I’m
privileged enough to have garnered over the years. Many of the vintage racers
that I work on are from the 1960’s & 1970’s; the same era as
many of the vintage minitrails that I restore. It’s tough for me to articulate
just how valuable this type of experience is towards the end result in my restoration.
I could spend days telling you how immersed
I am in the motorcycle world, but I will do my best to give you the overall
idea of exactly how dedicated I am to my work.
I spend my days working on Honda mintrails or scouring Ebay for a customers
unobtainium part.
I spend my nights working on mintrail engines, as they require very little noise
to work on.
When I go to sleep at night, I can twinkle my toes & touch one of 2 bikes
at the foot of my bed. My blue 1969Z50AK1 or my 1970 Red QA50. These bikes live
in my bedroom & are the coolest bikes in my collection of many minitrails.
On some weekends, I’m involved in modern
roadracing & race a GSXR750.
I do all of my own machine preparation including engine work.
I prepare the machinery of all of my close friends.
I have a significant customer base of sportbike riders & racers.
I currently possess an expert roadracing license issued by the CCS sanctioning
body for the Northeast.
I have held a roadracing license since 1994.
Some weekends, I go trail riding on my Honda CRF150.
Some weekends, I go ride my motorcross bike; a Honda CRF250.
Some weekends, I occasionally go Supermoto riding on my Honda XR100 that does
double duty. I made my own front disc brake conversion with CR250 parts.
I could go on.
Lets just say that when I’m not restoring Honda Mintrails, I spend a lot
of time riding, racing & building Honda motorcycles.
I have enclosed some photos that I feel are
of significance.
If you have any question as to the level of qualification that I have, please
feel free to ask me to elaborate. Also feel free to have a look at my testimonials
page. I sincerely hope that I have done enough to convey the message that your
mintrail will be in good hands & you will be more than happy with the results.
Your satisfaction is my number one priority.
I have a very broad Minitrail customer base.
I can furnish multiple references upon request.
Sincerely,
Enzo
